Put your waders on and join Coosa Basin Aquatic Biologist, Ani Popp, in the river. There you’ll find a staggering array of biodiversity that thrives in our waterways. It’s Ani’s job to study these species of fish and aquatic wildlife to make sure our rivers and streams are as healthy as they can be for this and future generations.
I’ve watched Ani grow up in nature for the past 12 years. Her interest in the outdoors started at a very young age with her family camping, canoeing, and kayaking. Now, as a biologist she enjoys studying Georgia’s waterways to make sure they are healthy and strong, and if not, why not.
Today’s podcast just might inspire you to grab a snorkel and mask, and go see what’s under the surface of the water!
