Gerda Steyn became the first woman in history to breach the six-hour mark as she surged to a maiden Comrades Marathon crown by winning the 2019 race in record fashion in Pietermaritzburg on Sunday. The 29-year-old posted a time of 5:58:53, the quickest ever in the up-run.
