Quick update from the dating app world. Due to the pandemic, profile mentions of "vaccine" are seeing a huge spike. But it's not as simple as you might think. On Bumble they're confirming they've taken the vaccine; on Match.com they're swearing they'll never take the vaccine; and on Tinder they're bragging that they know how to spell it.
In creepy technology news, Microsoft has filed a patent for chatbots that "revive dead loved ones", using their images, voice data, social media posts, and electronic messages. Wait-- this sounds familiar. I wonder if they just brought a DVD of Black Mirror to the patent office and said "this". One thing's for sure: if they can really bring the dead back to life, we're definitely getting another Tupac album!
This is interesting. There's a city in Germany that's testing out wind- and water-proof sleep pods for the homeless. I don't see what the big deal is, we have that here in the US. They're called bus stations.
Here's one for Jurassic Park fans. Paleontologists have discovered something amazing-- the first intact preserved dinosaur butthole. After debating for many months on a name for the fossil they found, the scientists unanimously decided on "Veloci-crap-tor".
Finally, in Brazil, a geologist has found a geode that looks exactly like the cookie monster. My condolences to Dwayne Johnson. The world has finally found a more likeable rock.
