Acts 5:4, 12-16, 19-20, 24, 27,36-37; John 10:10; 2 Corinthians 5:17; 1 Peter 1:3; Romans 6:4.
In this chapter, we read about how the Lord treated the dishonest Ananias and Sapphira. He put them to death for trying to hide their property and money gains from the apostles. Then, we see how the apostles performed great miracles and wonders, but more importantly, preached to people about the way to a new life in Jesus.
When we have this new life in Jesus, we live connected to Him through the Holy Spirit, and He changes our old life into a more abundant life. When we have Jesus, we don't pray empty prayers; we say what the Holy Spirit wants us to present to God in prayer. His Holy Spirit guides our lives.
Today is a good day to give your life to Jesus for He desires to provide you with this new life that the apostles preached centuries ago. The message of which doesn't grow old because Jesus has guided people throughout the centuries since then. New life means repenting of our sins and accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior.
