We enjoy the company of generous people. They let us use their cabin. They share their produce from the garden. They pick up the bill at the restaurant. Generous people are a blessing. In comparison, the stingy person goes through life a bit ill-tempered. We might call it thrifty or frugal, but it is stingy. The God we serve could be described in various ways, but never stingy.
