Shani Gaylord-Hunter is the founder of Get Fit Queens, a women’s physical and mental health empowerment group. For over 13 years Shani has made it a priority to connect our community to healthy opportunities and continues to actively served as volunteer or board member for many organizations. Her passion stems from her own journey having many obstacles to overcome, but staying determined to have a happy and healthy life while supporting others to do the same. Shani is originally from New Jersey but has worked in Virginia and live in North Carolina for years. Professionally, she serves as a director in healthcare and she has degrees from Patrick Henry Community College, UNCG, Fayetteville State University, and she's finishing her doctorate at Liberty University. Shani’s mottos are, “teamwork makes the dream work!” and, “Yasssssss, Queen!”
