Publisher's Summary:
Are you struggling to find a new job?
What would you say if I was to tell you the way most people look for a job is a waste of your f--king time and effort?
Less than 15% of all job openings are filled from job board postings, yet 95% of job seekers dutifully craft resumes and cover letters for these few coveted job openings.
What in the f--k is wrong with us?
Here are just a few of the things you will learn:
It's not your father's job search! Things have changed. Employer expectations have changed, and if your job search methods haven't kept up, you're not going to get a job.
If you need some help getting your ass out of that chair and getting up to speed on your job search skills - you need this audiobook!
About the author: Nick Vulich is the author of four books including Freaking Idiots Guide to Selling on eBay. His other book Freaking Idiots Guide to Writing a Kindle Best Seller is a guide for self-published authors detailing how to market your book on Amazon Kindle.
A funny thing happened when his daughter first saw the cover to this audiobook. She immediately ran off to tell her mom, "Dad's writing a book about himself." And, that's when dad got out of his chair and saw the impression six month's of constant occupancy by his ass had left in it.
It may be time for Nick to find a job.
Members Reviews:
Title aside, the book is simple and good
Here is how I reviewed this book:
1. Title caught my eye. However, I'm not going to pay money just for a clever vulgar title. The current market price for that on the Internet is about $0.000001 per page.
2. Downloaded sample -- does author actually have any useful info to back up the title?
3. Yup. Sample is actually good work including one solid tip.
The clever vulgarity tapers off after the first page and Vulich lays out a bunch of information about getting a job. I have professional experience in this area and I'll say this book is pretty good. But hey -- just try the sample. You'll get a good idea about the rest of the book.
I'll give away one secret: there's a limited amount of stuff to learn from a book (such as how to format a resume and what companies do with them these days). Beyond that, your chances of success depend on how much effort you put in, not some secret handshake.
Great book- easy read and well written
Cursing aside, I actually found this book to be the most straight forward, informative book on job searching I've ever read. It's up to date on new approaches to resumes and interviewing as well as links to websites that can help. I haven't been job hunting in over ten years and frankly did not know where to start. Now I know my efforts will be fresh and I'm expecting success in my job hunting. Thank you Nick!
Pretty good
Ok this guy gives some good advice and pointers. As you can tell from the title hes not shy about handing it out either. However, my complaint is that I still felt like it didnt meet my expectations that i had seeing the cover. It feels somewhat vague and the advice he gives isnt anything new. You will either already know everything he writes about or could find the information elswhere. Still, its free and he has good tone so why not read it
The Title Got Me!...
