should get ready?
it's way past time

for tragedies we
know are coming
it will be a lot
less stunning
for our innocents
who’ll be running
from a loss of lives
and future dreams
maybe it will help
them understand
that it does no
good to scream.
educate them to

every girl and every boy
that greed for profits

when earth’s

causes drastic
climate changes

stay inside and play.
but when fresh water
is rarer than purest
gold will ever be
will their own kids
be left thirsty
when they can’t
afford huge fees
for just a cup
of water…please…

rise and cover
all the towns on
every coast
will your children
be left fleeing
from the homes they
loved the most.
when huge tornadoes
become frequent
and hurricanes
monthly explode
over schools where
children gather

they should be told?
many leaders are deniers
calling all the scientist are liars
claiming none of this is true
but reckoning is coming due
to your kids and their kids
but not to you...not to you
will the earth die
with a whimper
cause corporations
failed to heed
that the ozone’s
growing thinner
starving from
men’s callous greed
what will it take
before we see
our kids tomorrows
will not be
happy and healthy
when earth bleeds
and leaves them
nothing that they’ll need

from shore to shore.

greedy wanted more.

save their kids
and if they fail they
will go hunting
down the greedy pigs
still causing this
