In the first episode of the second season of BF, Corduroy and Metasenpai discuss the 2012 romance anime, "Kids on The Slope", and its director Shinichiro Watanabe. He is known for his mastery over blending popular music genres and unorthodox settings together. Music from jazz musicians like Art Blakey & Chet Baker appear in this anime, along with a great score composed by Yoko Kanno, who is well known in anime for her musical work in Cowboy Bebop (a previous collaboration with Watanabe).
