This is the first episode of Season 2 of The Broke Architect Podcast!
This show is brought to you by the Global Architect Alliance (GAA). In the first episode of Season 2 we start the series by talking with fellow podcaster Jake Rudin who studied architecture at both Cornell and Harvard University and also worked at Studio Fuksas in Rome. Ready to take his final licensure exams, Jake surprised everyone and found employment at Adidas instead!
Jake then began "Out Of Architecture" with Erin Pellegrino which is a Career consulting firm that helps you leverage the full value of your design education, in any field. They have also written a book, published by Routledge and have a podcast called Tangents. In this episode, we explore the reasons you might want to consider an alternative career using the skills that that architecture degree taught you and how you would go about doing this.
The Podcast is supporting the important work of The Architects Benevolent Society, which was founded in 1850 and exists to support the architectural community and their families and can help architects in a range of ways during their working life, or once they have retired. https://www.absnet.org.uk/get-help/ FUNDRAISER APPEAL: Please donate to the Broke Architect Podcasts JustGiving page: https://tinyurl.com/murevj5r
