This week on Get The Gist, it’s a Just Us episode with Roz, Ri & Princess 🤍

We kick things off reflecting on the last episode (because let’s be honest… the buzz balls were BUZZING), before diving headfirst into the chaos that is modern life, money, content, and constant consumption.

We get into the oversaturation of social media, TikTok Shop madness, Vlogmas fatigue, and that feeling of always being sold to online. From commission-paid content to creators pulling out of platforms altogether, we ask the real question: are we doing too much?

The conversation turns to consumerism, buying what you want vs what you need and whether treating yourself can sometimes be an act of self-love. We also talk about the cost of living crisis, eye-watering rent and electricity bills, broken heat pumps, oil heaters, and the reality of baffing with a kettle and a bucket 🪣 (because survival).

💛 Tammy’s Story

With great sensitivity, Georgina opens up about the heartbreaking loss of her younger sister Tammy, who tragically passed away in 2025 after a violent incident involving a housemate with a history of domestic violence. Tammy had reported concerns multiple times but was failed by the systems meant to protect her.

Georgina shares how this loss forever changed her — leaving her grieving both her sister and the version of herself that existed before. She now lives with intention, honouring Tammy’s spirit and carrying her “better half” energy forward. We are deeply thankful to Georgina for trusting us with such a personal and powerful story.
