alumna who shares her experiences of having a name that teachers and school

staff found difficult to pronounce. Naomi and Fopé discuss the importance of

names to student identity, the negative impact that having one’s name regularly

mispronounced can have, and the different approaches that teachers and school

staff can take to learning students’ names. The themes of honesty, openness and

being comfortable with making mistakes come up throughout the episode, and Fope
