The Night Goblins have been announced and we are HERE for it! Squiggly goodness abounds as we hypothesize wildly about what the details might contain. We follow that up by discussing the Prairie Oyster tournament from a few weeks back and set the table for the tournaments that will be happening in Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba over the next couple of months.
Get ready to LEAP into an episode with your CLAWS bared!
That's right! The boys from the Down Underworld Denizens podcast, Babs and Millsy, stop by for a friendly trans-pacific chat. We talk about the World Cup as well as other international tournamants, the issue of encouraging youth into the hobby, and the state of Slann!
We also invited Scott Martin along for the ride as an Edmontonian representative and even do an interview with Rob and Colton from the conclusion of Summerbash.
Come for the collaboration, stay for the public humiliation as the GTR fellas expose just how little they know about the Australian Blood Bowl scene.
It is the middle of summer and you'd think there would be nothing to talk about, but there really is! From pre-orders coming up to a set of mystifying data, we fill our boots from all the news in and around the blood bowl world. We recap the Golden Sausage, update the Great Plains Grand Prix and look to the horizon at the upcoming tournaments.
It has been two weeks since PowTown and we sit down to talk about the tournament that was. We also make up for lost time by briefly talking about the FAQ, discuss the big summer preview, and then look forward to the tournaments that are coming up - not just the immediate ones like the Golden Sausage 2026 (have *YOU* seen the video?), but we get into Spike 2026! Not only that, but we are joined by the illustrious Steve Lemky, the tournament organizer himself for Canada's only Major!
Come give us a listen!
The big day is right around the corner and so many of us are travelling for the big event. Join Josh and Lair here as we take a look at what to expect from the weekend. Some of the big talking points include:
See you on the pitch!
We spend a lot of time talking about the plethora of tournaments that have occured over the last month and look forward to how PowTown is shaping up!
With the release of the High Elf team, we are now at a point where we have a complete game for the first time in many years! So, what does this swan song of a release mean for you and your tournament games? We try and tackle it all in this episode, plus we bring some specualtion as to what might come afterwards.
Then, we recap the month with a look at the Great Plains Open as well as a peek at some upcoming tournaments - especially the 10th anniversary of the Blood Diamond Chalice in Edmonton.
Come on over, give us a listen...and stay for some disco!
You know what they say about March... In like a lion, out like a lamb (or was that reversed?)... but in this case it is the White Lions of the High Elf roster that are being released!
We talk abou the upcoming releases, delve into the murky influence of AI on Kickstarters (the link to the Big Head Chibi kickstarter is here), talk about the troll situation that GW has, and then recap the Cry Fowl Cup - complete with an interview with the winner!
On the back end, we preview the Great Plains Open (among others) and release the AI generated hit song "The Four Way Four Play" in honour of the event.
Come give it all a listen!
We open the month with a discussion of some recent NAF data that shows that the Orcs and the OWA are tops in both popularity and success. Should something be done?!
Afterwards, we talk about the High Elf preview from GW along with our thoughts about NAF's ruling on Slann - and you are NEVER going to believe what Darcy thinks!
We recap Hammerslam, update you all on the Great Plains Grand Prix standings (thanks, Shawn!), and prime you up for both the Cry Fowl Cup and the Great Plains Open. Sprinkle in a few interviews - Charles Cassier, Quinn Ashmead, and Brandon Easton - and you have yourself a tidy little bit of Blood Bowl to listen to...
...but you will be doing yourself a disservice if you come for the content and not stay for the world premiere of "The Battle Cry of Horatio!" YEE-HAW!!!
The new year brings hope to all people, and along with that hope, a plethora of gifts!
All that to supplement our regular offerrings as we recap Decembers's Prairie Oyster and we preview the Hammerslam in a scant few week's time.
Happy New Year!
