In last week’s show I interviewed headline writing pro, Jon Morrow, so you may think that the headline for today’s podcast is just to show Jon that I was paying attention.
Wrong!
Today’s interview is all about exactly what that headline says:
*
How can you get unstuck?
*
How can you start earning money even before you think you are ready?
These are subjects I think about a lot, because several times in my life I’ve felt stuck, spun my wheels for far too long, and then changed directions.
And, as a bit of a perfectionist, I keep thinking I just have to read one more article, do one more edit, find a better picture, or in some other way delay putting out my products and services.
So when I came across Tom Morkes’ website and his books I was intrigued for two reasons:
1. The Topics. First of all, he had somehow got permission to use Seth Godin’s name in a book title, and the book was basically a summary of a seminar of Seth’s that Tom had attended. I wanted to know how he’d managed that. And then I started reading his work on our our inner critic (a creature I know all too well), and saw his book on The Art of Instigating. I used to call myself Chief Instigator, so that caught me too!
2. The Pricing. Tom sells the books using a Pay What You Want system. I love the concept! As we discuss in the interview, it can not only earn you a lot of money, it makes it easier to overcome your inner procrastinator.
Listen to the interview now, and find out how you too can get unstuck and use a system like Pay What You Want to get your work out there and make progress on your goals.
