It is that time of year when we remember the story of the Transfiguration of Jesus. Awakenings allow us to see things from a new perspective like being lifted up, as on a mountaintop, above our normal way of seeing. Many in our secular age have a boxed-in way of viewing the world that simply assumes material reality is all there is. So we need a mountain. There is another world.
