Matt 5:14 “You are the light of the world. A city that is

set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do they light a

lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and

it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 Let your light

so shine before men, that they may see your good

works and glorify your Father in heaven.

1. We have an assignment

a. Matt 9:35 Then Jesus went about all the

cities and villages, teaching in their

synagogues, preaching the gospel of the

kingdom, and healing every sickness and

every disease among the people. 36 But

when He saw the multitudes, He was moved

with compassion for them, because they

were weary and scattered, like sheep having

no shepherd. 37 Then He said to His

disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but

the laborers are few. 38 Therefore pray the

Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into

His harvest.”

2. We are equipped the do the job

a. Matt 28:18 And Jesus came and spoke to

them, saying, “All authority has been given to

Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore

and make disciples of all the nations,

baptizing them in the name of the Father

and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20

teaching them to observe all things that I

have commanded you; and lo, I am with you

always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise

of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have

heard from Me; 5 for John truly baptized with

they asked Him, saying, “Lord, will You at this

time restore the kingdom to Israel?” 7 And

He said to them, “It is not for you to know

times or seasons which the Father has put in

His own authority. 8 But you shall receive

power when the Holy Spirit has come upon

you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in

Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and

to the end of the earth.”

done is us.
