Public anger is growing over the impact of the exams chaos, with GCSEs seeing a big rise in grades, and the BTec results delayed.

David Mundell, Conservative MP for Dumfriesshire, Clydesdale and Tweeddale and the former Secretary of State for Scotland says the U.K. government has got a handle on the problem in England, and has done just as well, or poorly, on the issue as the SNP administration did in Edinburgh.

But former ministerial adviser Chris White, now managing director for public affairs at Newington Communications, tells Bloomberg Westminster's Caroline Hepker and Roger Hearing that the cabinet needs to do better, as many of the exam problems were easily predictable.
