We've all been called into the ministry whether it be a preacher to a song leader to a praying individual. All scripture is given by the inspiration of God. The end of all arguments starts and ends with the Word of God. We hear a lot about doctrine right now. We label everything from churches to books and hymnals. The first label that should be applied is, Christian. If you say that the spirit witnessed with you, it doesn't matter what you say if it doesn't line up with the Word of God. Some will say that the bible is hard to read, understand. That statement is true but we do not read the Sunday paper, it's an instruction manual from God Himself. All scripture is of God, not just the pieces that we like and then dismiss the parts that we don't like. Some doctrines will tell you that as long as you believe and follow God then you'll be blessed with all these wonderful things. However, the bible clearly states in 2 Tim 3:12 that if you live for Christ you will go thru problems, persecution. We should study the Word daily, reading it, meditating on it and memorizing it. People are looking for answers all over the place, so we should have an answer for them from God to help them. Many folks that's been saved for many years are still babes, still on the milk when it comes to their spiritual growth.
At times when we study and read the bible the things that we read might hurt us like getting a spanked. Those things do hurt and they are there for reproof and not to ignore. During readIng the bible it will bring us to correction at times. Once correction is made we should repent. Your Sunday school teacher is probably a hypocrite just like the rest of us but that doesn't make it right. We will all fail at some point and tell someone to live this way but we will live the opposite.
The devil will come between Christians and try to cause conflict with anything and it seems that a lot of it currently is about doctrine. In the end, the doctrine is good but Jesus is more important. The focus should be about Jesus and Him crucified. We get caught up in the happiness of the world and fail to see the goodness of the end reward.
