*an asterisk. It means different things. It can be a mark that serves as a reference mark where letters were left out. Sometimes it can be in a string of symbols where it serves to say something that might not be appropriate in print. Like when you hit your finger with a hammer. Oh &#*^. It might also be used to clarify something, like by the name of an athlete, where they achieved a remarkable event but did it possibly improperly. Like an athlete that has a record in something but was later found to be using performance-enhancing drugs. It would harken back to a mistake. Put it that way, I have a few asterisks in my life, where I made it through but ….well, I might not have been proud of it. Married 35 years* (but got married and divorced young the first time).

King David has an asterisk by his life in scripture. Well, it is not really there but it is. He made a pretty bad mistake with a woman early in his life and had her husband killed. Big *. But he overcame it …….and I did, and you can too. This is about getting beyond the asterisk.
