On this episode of #DWYCFTP​, Alex Kavanaugh, LCAT-P joins us to talk about coping with anxiety and depression. This episode was originally intended to provide some tools in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic as we are all at a higher risk for anxiety and depression. While that is still true, things have changed dramatically since we recorded this episode on May 23, 2020 and the ongoing movement to support #blacklivesmatter​ has shifted the mood across our nation. I couldn’t think of a more timely episode to release this week. Alex and I talk about anxiety, depression, trauma and some tools to get through these trying times. Alex specializes in drama therapy, a form of psychotherapy that uses theatrical techniques as therapeutic interventions. In these increasingly trying times I hope you all are taking care of yourselves.
