Getting Griner Out Part 2: Behind the Scenes of the Deal that Brought Brittney Home

The question following Brittney Griner’s arrest at a Moscow airport in February of 2022 was always, what it would take to get her back home safely. What it took was a prisoner exchange between the United States and Russia, one that included Viktor Bout, an arms dealer nicknamed, The Merchant of Death.
