Getting into development with Career Gap

  • Most of my paid bootcamp students have career gaps and there are variety of reasons for the same.
  • Some were preparing for Govt jobs(like UPSC and MPSC) after engineering and 6 years passed in flash.
  • Some from electronics or mechanical background and did job in core sector only to get 15K per month and want to switch to development.
  • One housewife with ten year gap will also join the next batch. So, do a college professor with 20 years experience who is getting paid only 20K.
  • It would have been impossible for them to get a job in 2010, but today it is very much possible for anyone to become a web-app developer.
  • In 2010 most job were in big service companies with strict gap and education criteria.
  • But now most jobs are in startup and also freelancing. So, anyone and everyone with skills can become a web-app developer.
