Dr. Eloi Hoopman and Susan Wardrip, RN talked with KHSU on the Homepage about immunizing children before the school year begins and the changes to the rules eliminating the "Personal Belief Exemption" for child vaccines after California's SB 277 became law. Dr. Hoopman is a physician with the Open Door Community Health Centers. Wardrip is a nurse and the immunization coordinator for Humboldt County Department of Health and Human Services.
