One of the only “shortcuts” to success is to find someone who’s done what you are looking to do and model after them. Be coachable. Study their moves.

Your life will be equivalent to the expectations of your peer group.

The first example speaks to everyone, so it speaks to no one. The second and third speak to a specific person, and thus that right person will HEAR your message.

This is super important, especially as it relates to social media and building your brand for what you are known for and who you can help.

1) Write down who your ideal client is in detail

2) Write down who your ideal teammate is in detail

3) Open your eyes to all the opportunities to connect with those people

When you put a timeline on your dreams, it becomes a goal. Everyone can dream, few are willing to set goals with a distinct timeline and work every day to achieve them.

On this episode Wade chats goal setting, how to set goals using the S.M.A.R.T. method and offers up a call to action to declare your goals to accountability partners and beyond!

Every successful entrepreneur has had a moment in their life where they DECIDED. Sandy and I like to call it a Decided Heart. You must have a Decided Heart if you want to succeed at whatever you do. You may have already made that decision, you may have a decided heart. I want you to DECIDE today to commit, or re-commit to your DECISION to play full out towards your dreams or your goals, towards your desired life. If you don’t, you’re simply being selfish. You were meant to live an awesome life. For more than just yourself. Make the DECISION to do what it takes to become a Champion. Every success starts with a DECISION. Not wanting something and being okay falling short, DECIDING that is where you’re going. A decision is the match that sets us on FIRE. People follow people with conviction, who know exactly where they are going. Success chases those on FIRE. If I want to build a 7 figure business, the journey isn’t going to be easy; daily action and hurdles and rejection and silence and small victories aren’t what sets me on fire, the end result, building the business, building freedom for my family, building a legacy, building a life of impact, helping others gets to where they want to be is what sets me on FIRE. So the first steps are knowing WHY you want what you want, and VISION and CLARITY on where you are going and then making a DECISION you are going to do it by any means. Shut the back door on quitting. What does making a DECISION look like? It is the ability to stay loyal to what you said you were going to do long after the mood you said it in has left you. A Decided Heart should not be just about setting a goal, but living by a standard. A goal is a something you reach. A standard is something you live by. A true DECISION means burning the ships. The ships are excuses, limiting beliefs, anything that will hold you back from reaching your vision. Burn them all, burn the ships, make becoming a champion the only option. There is no option B because you have shut the back door on quitting! BURN THE SHIPS!

Successful entrepreneurs have crystal clear vision on where they are going. Vision is the genesis of all greatness. Only by knowing precisely where you want to go will the path unfold for you. So write the last chapter first. When you write the last chapter first and wake up and align yourself towards that vision every day, you set yourself on fire.

Only those that can see the invisible can do the impossible. Some people around you, maybe even yourself think that whatever is on your heart, whatever that dream or that goal is, it seems or feels like an impossible task. I’m here to tell you it’s not. There’s evidence of success all around you. But for you to do the impossible, you have to see the invisible. You have to see it before its there. You have to envision yourself living the life you truly desire, you have to believe it, visualize what it feels like, what the road looks like to get there. A Champion has perfect clarity on WHERE they are going, the average drifts along, hoping they land where they would like to. Cast a VISION for your life, for your business. Make it crystal clear and then move towards that vision every day no matter what.

2) Grab a journal and date it 5 years from today and write a detailed letter about everything that you're grateful for in your life (5 years from today as if its the present) and how it all transpired.

What if we chose to look at our emotions as our internal guidance system? When we’re happy or filled with positive emotions that that is our body telling us YES, YES, YES! More if this! When we’re sad or down or anxious or depressed it is our body telling us there is something going on currently or in your life that is out of alignment or that we do not like and we need to fix that.

What if emotions are just emotions and when we label them as “negative” that is just our perception? What if instead of positive or negative we look at emotions and feelings as our body guiding us as to what is right and wrong for us? What if emotions and feelings were a call to action for us?

For example, let’s say you get anxious or are in a “negative” state Sunday night or Monday morning, thinking about the upcoming work week. That anxiety or stress is your body telling you, hey, you don’t like this. This isn’t good for you. You then have two choices to make it better: 1) change your situation so you don’t feel that way or 2) change your perception of the situation so you don’t react in a “negative” way to it. On the flip side let’s say you go on a nature walk and you feel alive and happy and vital and positive. That is your body telling you YES, more of this please!

So let’s start tuning into our emotions and recognizing them as our guidance system and use them to move towards a life that feels GOOD way more than it feels bad!
