What changes when you’ve already built, sold and exited a business… and decide to do it all over again?
This week on Getting Shxt Done, we’re joined by Shaun Simons, co-founder of Compton.
Shaun started in commercial property at 16 before co-founding Hatton during the credit crunch, selling the business to Colliers in 2016 and spending five years inside the global firm. Then, in 2021 - in the middle of a pandemic and with offices across London half-empty - he launched Compton.
We talk about building a business for the second time, working with family, scaling a team, leadership, taking risks and what nobody tells you about the early years of entrepreneurship.
Shaun also shares how Compton attributes around 30% of its revenue to LinkedIn, why he’s built such a loud and recognisable personal brand, dealing with criticism online and how founders can actually make content sustainable.
Plus, we get into productivity, motivation, money, future exits and what “Getting Shxt Done” means to Shaun.

Esmée Gummer is currently in the thick of running 5,000km across 76 UK cities in just 99 days - with a mission to inspire one million people to complete a 5K.
In this episode of Getting Shxt Done, we sit down with Esmée to hear the story behind one of her biggest challenges yet.
From being paralysed at 18 and told she might never walk again, to becoming an endurance athlete, taking on HYROX and ultramarathons, building a huge online community and now running around the UK - Esmée’s journey is pretty incredible.
We talk training, recovery, sacrifice, social media, the logistics of running 60km days, the Say Yes philosophy and why this challenge is about much more than just running.

What does it take to build a financial advice business to £400m - and then make the decision to walk away and start all over again?
In this episode of Getting Shxt Done, we get into the full story: the early days of building credibility from scratch, the decisions that drove huge organic growth, and the moment it became clear the business had grown into something much bigger.
But this conversation goes far beyond the numbers.
We talk about what scaling a business really exposes, the pressure of leaving something you've spent years building, and what it feels like to start again when you already know just how difficult the journey can be.
We also explore why client relationships will always matter more than the name above the door, what people actually want from a financial adviser, and why trust, empathy and simply being human remain some of the most valuable qualities in business.
From leadership and family life to resilience, ego, pressure and how the definition of success changes over time, this is a conversation about the reality behind building something big - and having the courage to do it all again.
What does it really take to walk away from a secure corporate career and build a business completely on your own terms?
This week on Getting Shxt Done, Harry Tarbuck and Will Pringle sit down with Georgina Curtis, founder of Glazed PR and Brewing Success, to talk about the leap from L’Oréal into entrepreneurship, building a thriving PR agency, creating a people-first culture, and why community will always outperform competition.
Georgina shares the reality behind leaving the comfort of corporate life, the groundwork she put in before going freelance, the lessons she’s learned while growing a team, and why she’s passionate about redefining leadership. She also opens up about dyslexia, self-doubt, burnout, networking, and the moments that almost made her question everything.
Whether you’re thinking about going freelance, growing your own business, leading a team, or simply looking for honest advice from someone who’s built success on their own terms, this episode is packed with practical insights and inspiring conversations.

This week on the Getting Sh*t Done Podcast, we closed out the season with a proper Christmas Special featuring Keri Ackling and Tom Baker, the duo behind Snow Windows. And to make it even better, Tom painted our logo live in the studio while we recorded. Real Christmas magic.
Snow Windows started with Tom painting a single snow scene on a neighbour’s window. No plan, no strategy, just a bit of creativity. That one moment turned into a full-scale business that now works with Disney, John Lewis, Lego, Global, Harvey Nichols, Costa, Audi and more.
But behind the festive sparkle is a real story of graft and chaos. Keri and Tom have built something completely unique while juggling family life, raising a daughter who plays pro football at 11 and handling a business where 90 percent of the income arrives in one mad seasonal sprint.
From barely keeping up with demand to launching their own products, sprays, stencils and an online snow art course, they’ve gone from “fun Christmas idea” to a brand people recognise across the UK.

This week on the Getting Sh*t Done Podcast, Harry & Will sat down with Charlie Thomas - the founder of Babble & Hemp, the menswear brand championing one of the world’s most sustainable and misunderstood fabrics: hemp.
Charlie’s story is rooted in purpose. After witnessing the devastating environmental impact of cotton farming near the Aral Sea, he became determined to create clothing that looked good, felt premium, and didn’t compromise the planet.
What started as 150 hemp shirts sold at a Portobello Market stall has grown into a mission-led menswear brand built on ethics, endurance, and bold marketing - including Charlie completing a full Ironman wearing one of his own hemp shirts to prove its durability.
We covered:
If you’re building a product, a brand or you're just passionate about sustainability or mission-led entrepreneurship - this episode is for you.
