Although it is dropping, the rate of divorce is still well into the double digits. The cost of divorce us not only considerable to the couple, but costly to municipalities and local governments. As a result, some law makers are floating changes to the process that would introduce rules and waiting periods in an attempt to positively impact couples considering divorce.
