The recent student protests have highlighted misunderstandings and sown confusion about what the fund actually pays for. So we thought to invite NSFAS to clarify how one qualifies, what sort of salary bracket from parents is entitled to it and when are the funds are required to be paid back? Also what does NSFAS pay for outside of the tuition fees? As the academic year has already started, is there still time to apply or engage with the institution?
