Let’s pretend you have some real problems in your life (I know… so
unrealistic). If those trials are in your face every day and there is a
significant amount of pain or loss or struggle to them, you probably
live looking for a way to fix the problem. Naturally, we don’t want the
downsides, so we search for some way to escape them. As a believer, this
can turn to a prayer life where we continually ask God to fix our
lives. Of course, there’s nothing wrong with praying for relief. But we
can drift very easily into a mindset that thinks the answer to our lives
is for God to do what we ask. Israel thought that too. They complained
about their eating situation. And they did it so continuously that God
eventually said ‘Yes’. But that wasn’t good news. Let’s take a look at
