8마리의 아름다운 말들이

with eight beautiful horses,

깃털과 황금 마구로 장식되어있었죠.

decked with plumes of feathers and a golden harness;

그리고 마차에는 왕자의 종이 타고있었는데

and behind the coach rode the prince's servant,

충실한 하인 ‘헨릭’이었습니다.

faithful Heinrich,

그는 그의 소중한 주인에게 닥쳤던 불행을 몹시 슬퍼했습니다.

who had bewailed the misfortunes of his dear master

왕자가 마법이 걸린 동안 말이죠.

during his enchantment

너무 공감을 한 나머지

so long and so bitterly,

심장이 터질것 같이 뛰었다고 했어요.

that his heart had well-nigh burst.

그리하여 그들은 공주의 왕국을 떠나기 위해

They then took leave of the king,

8마리의 말이 끄는 마차에 올라 탔습니다.

and got into the coach with eight horses,

완벽한 준비 끝에,

and all set out,

그들은 기쁘고 즐겁게

full of joy and merriment,

왕자의 왕국에

for the prince's kingdom,

안전하게 도착했어요.

which they reached safely;

그리고 그곳에서 그들은 오랜 세월을 행복하게 살았답니다.

and there they lived happily a great many years.
