She did so,

개구리는 방 안으로 뛰어들어갔고,

and the frog hopped into the room,

and then straight on

톡톡 찰박 찰박

—tap, tap—plash, plash—

from the bottom of the room to the top,

그는 테이블 가까이까지 다가왔어요.

till he came up close to the table

공주가 앉아 있는 테이블이었죠

where the princess sat.

'의자에 올려주세요.'

'Pray lift me upon chair,'

그가 공주에게 말했습니다.

said he to the princess,

‘나를 옆에 앉을 수 있게 해줘요’

'and let me sit next to you.'

공주는 개구리가 말한 것을 들어주었습니다.

As soon as she had done this,

개구리가 말했습니다.

the frog said,

`공주님의 접시를 나에게 가까이 가져다주세요.

'Put your plate nearer to me,

제가 음식을 먹을 수 있게요’

that I may eat out of it.'

그녀가 그렇게 하자,

This she did,

개구리는 먹을 수 있는 한 많이 먹었습니다.

and when he had eaten as much as he could,

그리고 말했습니다.

he said,

이제 나는 지쳤으니,

'Now I am tired;

나를 이층으로 데리고 올라가서,

carry me upstairs,

나를 당신의 침대에 가져다 놓아주세요.

and put me into your bed.'
