And the princess, though very unwilling,

took him up in her hand,

자기 침대의 베개 위에 올려 놓았습니다.

and put him upon the pillow of her own bed,

거기서 그는 밤새 잠을 잤습니다.

where he slept all night long.

날이 밝자마자

As soon as it was light

그는 벌떨 일어나 아래층으로 뛰어내려가

he jumped up, hopped downstairs,

그리고 집밖으로 나갔습니다.

and went out of the house.

자 이제,

'Now, then,'

공주는 생각했습니다.

thought the princess,

이제 개구리는 가버렸으니

'at last he is gone,

더이상 골치 아프게 얽힐 일도 없겠지

and I shall be troubled with him no more.'

그것은 착각이었습니다.

But she was mistaken;

다음날 밤이 되었고

for when night came again

그녀는 문을 두드리는 것 같은 소리를 들었습니다.

she heard the same tapping at the door;

개구리가 다시 온 것이지요.

and the frog came once more.
