문을 잠가두자꾸나, 그가 들어올 수 없을거야

"Let's lock the door, so he can't get in."

잠시 후에 늑대는 문을 두드렸습니다.

Soon afterward the wolf knocked on the door

그리고 외쳤습니다.

and called out,

할머니 문을 열어주세요.

"Open up, grandmother.

저 작은 빨간 망토예요.

It's Little Red Cap,

제가 할머니께 드릴 것들을 좀 구워왔어요.

and I'm bringing you some baked things."

그들은 침묵을 지켰습니다.

They remained silent,

그리고 문을 열지 않았어요.

and did not open the door.

회색 머리는 몇번이나 집 주위를 살금살금 돌아다니다가

Gray-Head crept around the house several times,

이윽고 지붕위로 뛰어 올랐습니다.

and finally jumped onto the roof.

그는 기다리려고 했습니다.

He wanted to wait

작은 빨간 망토가 저녁에 집으로 돌아가는 것을요

until Little Red Cap went home that evening,

그리고 그녀를 쫓아가 어둠속에서 그녀를 먹어버리려고요.

then follow her and eat her up in the darkness.

그러나 할머니는 그가 무슨일을 꾸미고 있는지 미리 보았습니다.

But the grandmother saw what he was up to.
