소녀는 계모에게 그릇들을 가지고 갔습니다.

The girl took the bowls to her stepmother,

행복 했습니다.

and was happy,

이제 그녀 또한 허락받을 수 있을것이라 생각하면서

thinking that now she would be allowed to

그들과 축제에 갈 수 있도록

go to the festival with them

그러나 계모가 말하길

But the stepmother said,

쓸모없긴

"It's no use.

넌 우리랑 못 가

You are not coming with us,

넌 옷이 없기 때문이고

for you have no clothes,

게다가 넌 춤 추는 법도 모르잖니

and you don't know how to dance.

우리는 네가 참 부끄러워 질 것 같네.

We would be ashamed of you."

그렇게 그녀는 신데렐라에게서 등을 돌렸습니다.

With this she turned her back on Cinderella,

그리고 그녀의 자랑스러운 두 딸과 서둘러 떠났습니다.

and hurried away with her two proud daughters.

이제 아무도 집에 없었기 때문에

Now that no one else was at home,

신데렐라는 헤이즐 나무 아래 그녀의 어머니 무덤으로 갔습니다.

Cinderella went to her mother's grave beneath the hazel tree,

그리고 외쳤습니다.

and cried out:

떨며 흔들리렴 작은 나무야

Shake and quiver, little tree,
