He had an ax brought to him and cut down the tree,

On the third day,

when her parents and sisters had gone away,

Cinderella went again to her mother's grave

and said to the tree:

떨며 흔들리렴 작은 나무야

Shake and quiver, little tree,

금과 은을 나에게 던져 내려주렴

Throw gold and silver down to me.

이번에는 새가 그녀에게 드래스를 던져주었는데

This time the bird threw down to her a dress

더욱 아름답고 훌륭한 그녀가 이제껏 한번도 입어보지 못한 것이었습니다.

that was more splendid and magnificent than any she had yet had,

그리고 덧신은 순금으로 만들어진 것이었어요.

and the slippers were of pure gold.
