........anybody there?
The Herstorians are learning ya about ghost towns this week. Madison waxes poetically about Bannack, MT - a town for miners with big golden dreams. It was the first town in Montana, and much like the people of the 1800s, it didn't last long. In its 80 years of life, Bannack had some wild times. Now it's a state park and is preserved to be a true example of life in the west.
April rambles about the town of Centralia, PA. Very aptly named, it's located in mid-Pennsylvania and is known for anthracite coal. Founded in 1842, this land is a hot piece of real estate! Abandoned in 1982 for the very same reason, except for the 5 people that still call it home (even though they don't have a zipcode anymore).
Next week the Herstorians will hit you with stories about Spies (ANYTHING GOES). They're hoping for some juicy goss to share.
