Hi Ghostlies. Merle and I tell 2 spooky Ouija board stories. Then we play 3 EVPs from our upcoming documentary, 153 Mile. Let us know what you hear in the comments. After that, Merle drops some spirit board history, Jake has some ghost hunting tips you can follow (or not). Finally, paranormal TV shows are coming back to the streaming networks ... but they have a new kinda vibe.
Hi Ghostlies. Amy Beal, the most enthusiastic paranormal enthusiast, sits down with Ghostly Activities to give us the scoop on her ghostly adventures in Astoria, Oregon. It's my favorite town in the USA.
She tells us about ghost hunting in the Astoria underground, which is haunted by 3 ghosts. Then, she runs over to the Flavel House, a haunted museum (and the Flavel family still roams those hallways). Finally, we get a little bit of tea on her search for Bandage Man in Cannon Beach.
You can find her travelogue (plus some EVP evidence) over on the Ghostly Activities blog, https://ghostlyactivities.com/investigating-the-very-haunted-astoria-oregon-amys-spooky-travelogue/
Hi Ghostlies. Merle takes the lead as the host for this episode. Thanks to our listeners who voted for ITC devices (a.k.a. spirit boxes) for this one.
Merle kicks things off with 2 spooky stories. The first, a nightmare leads to a physical ghostly manifestation. In the second, a ghost hunter gets a personal message at a haunted house .... BUT ... the second message isn't so nice.
Next, Merle plays 2 EVPs for you to discern while Jake critically judges.
In the last segment, we get the history of spirit boxes, our experiences, a few ghost hunting tips, and Jake mentions his favorite spirit box.
In Des Moines, Iowa, a group of teenage girls dare one of their friends to summon Bloody Mary. It all seemed to follow the traditional urban legend ... until it came to blow out the candle.
Later, we examine the original legend, how this encounter differs, and how a new tradition may spring from it. Plus, who knew Iowa was such a hotbed of Bloody Mary activity?!

In February 2013, Jake investigated the Congress Plaza Hotel in Chicago. He and his BFF, Saleen, spent 6 hours documenting creepy, ghostly activities. When they went back to their room, Jake decided to see if he could summon Bloody Mary because why not.
Things definitely took an interesting turn. Tune in for the scoop and don't forget to take the Bloody Mary poll on the blog.

Hi Ghostlies! On today's episode of Spooky Talk, Jake kicks things off with a reader-submitted true ghost story from Baltimore. It's a cozy paranormal tale set in Baltimore, Maryland.
Then, Merle takes the reins to queue up 2 EVPs for you, the listener, to review. Jake has a couple to share as well. Leave us a comment with what you here in the pod player or head over to the Ghostly Activities blog to comment.
In the last segment, Merle tells us what's what with spirit candles, while Jake whips out a Hex Box for a quick demo and review.
Thanks for tuning in!
Hi Ghostlies! As we get closer to spooky season, Jake did a little deep dive into the origins of the phrase, spooky season, and how it caught on to be a season unto itself.
It was surprising to see how old the term really is, even if it didn't necessarily mean a month of festivities and feelings at first.
Also, the state that first started using spooky season was what you'd think. It's not from New England. It's not from the Midwest. Wait 'til you hear where spooky season started.
You can find the research sources over on the Ghostly Activities blog
The Bandage Man is an infamous legend haunting the highway near Cannon Beach, Oregon. In this episode, Jake takes you through the legend's origins and horrifying claims. Also, get a terrifying tale to kick off.
Read the full Bandage Man profile on Ghostly Activities.
Merle and Jake sit down to dish about ghost hunting YouTube channels, and we give a matter-of-fact analysis of 11 different channels. Plus, hear which channels we like.
But first - Merle has 2 ghost (hunting) stories to tell, submitted by listeners and readers. Although ... we do breakdown the stories because they are ghost hunting experiences, and we're ghost hunters, too.
As a follow-up from episode 1, we got a follow-up on the phantom car seen on Aurora Bridge. Check out the blog post about the haunted Aurora Bridge for the details.
Hi kids! It's been a while, eh? Well, Ghostly Activities is coming back to the podwaves. In today's episode, Jake and Merle discuss a recent ghostly encounter on Aurora Bridge in Seattle. Two readers submitted the same encounter that happened during the witching hour on August 10th.
Then, Merle and Jake run through their three favourite haunts and why they're so spooky.
So I hope you enjoy our spooky talk, and I'll have a new episode for you next week.
