Short and sweet, and half the calories. Meg and Conor delve into the new release of Godzilla Vs Kong and North Korea's own kaiju venture, Pulgasari. We share brief plot summaries that, of course, will be riddled with spoilers, and go very lightly into some behind the scenes insight, as well as share our opinions about both films.
Meg and Conor do an intensely deep dive into the New Wave Order that is Liquid Sky, a 1982 indie film by Slava Tsukerman and Nina Kerova, co-written and starring Anne Carlisle. Turn on your neon signs, order some shrimp, put on your tallest shoes, and let's kill with our c**ts!
~Liquid Sky is about a girl from a well-to-do-family who moves to NYC to pursue her modelling career and gets caught up with pint-sized drug dealers and violent men. When it appears that she is finally getting her revenge via a murderous guardian angel, it turns out that there is an alien creature on her roof that is receiving nourishment by invisibly killing her abusers.

Meg has a million and one places she could be right now, but she's gonna talk about Smithereens, the debut film of Susan Seidelman that chronicles the life of a malignant narcissist and the slow death of the New York punk scene. Starring Susan Berman, Brad Rinn, and Richard Hell, this guerilla film shows the real-world decay of 1980s New York City and the transitional period of the punk rock scene.

Happy Hausudays, everyone!
What would you do if someone slashed your tires because you didn't take their advice for a sandwich order? Meg and her co-host Conor talk at great length about the CBS Tuesday Night Movie from 1993, Stalking Laura, which is equal parts serious and cheesy melodrama. They also give insight on the real-life tragedy that the movie is based upon, and give background insight on the two leads.
