The FDA and Giant Eagle have recalled ALL bakery items that contain peanut butter and were prepared and sold in each of 3 Pennsylvania markets in Ebensburg, Indiana and Northern Cambria. These items have Jif peanut butter in them that is contaminated with salmonella. This bacterium causes severe and life-threatening gastrointestinal and systemic infections in the very young, elders, and in those with immune weaknesses.
