It's the first of July and it's the first of our Summer Beach Wednesdays here on Gibraltar Today. Over the coming weeks we'll be visiting Gibraltar's beaches, hearing your memories, your favourite spots, and the issues that matter most to you.

Today's episode was recorded live from Eastern Beach, where both locals and visitors alike enjoy early morning dips, long afternoons and plenty of space to set up your beach umbrella. It's also where recent concerns over sediment plumes linked to nearby reclamation works have sparked plenty of public discussion.

We discussed the sediment plumes with the Environmental Safety Group's Janet Howitt, as also spoke to some regular beach goers who shared what they love - and what they think could be better - about Eastern Beach.
