Gibraltar's First Private Hospital, Childline DART programme with Caroline Carter, GRA Media Literacy Survey with Kayleigh Podesta & Ibrahim Alba
Gibraltar’s first private hospital has opened with its first MRI scanner.GibMed International Hospital is situated at the ICC, where the GHA’s primary care centre used to be. It’s headed by Dr David Deardon. The hospital has started receiving private patients, and will soon receive GHA patients needing MRI scans. We'll hear more from the health minister Gemma Vasquez.
The Charity Childline is running a programme to help families who experience domestic abuse. Caroline Carter told us about the Domestic Abuse Recovering Together programme, designed to empower children aged 7–14 years and their mothers who face the harrowing challenges of domestic abuse.
And, take care with fake news! The Gibraltar Regulatory Authority is promoting media literacy by highlighting the risks associated with electronic media content. The GRA will be conducting a media literacy survey online, as well as door- to-door questionnaires. Jonathan Scott spoke to Kayleigh Podesta and Ibrahim Alba to find out more.
