1: When we give God our worry God gives us His peace
“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done. 7 Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” Phil. 4:6-7 NLT
a. This reminds us that God really is in control
“Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” 1Peter 5:7

Action step: prayer

“Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you preserve my life. You stretch out your hand against the anger of my foes; with your right hand you save me.” Psalms 138:7
“The Lord is good, a refuge in time of trouble. He cares for those who trust in Him.” Nahum 1:7
“The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted…”
Isaiah 61:1
“Mary said, ‘He cares for me His humble servant.’” Luke 1:48 CEV
Action Step: ministry
“God of all healing counsel! He comes alongside of us when we go through hard times. And before you know it, He brings us alongside someone else who’s going through hard times so that we can be there for that person just as God was there for us.”

3. We give God our grief and He gives us His joy
“You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing. You’ve taken my clothes of mourning and clothed me with joy.” Psalm 30:11 NLT
“Weeping may last through the night but joy comes in the morning.”
Psalm 30:5
“The angel said, ‘Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you. He is the Messiah, the Lord.’” Luke 2:10-11
Action Step: Savoir
This is how God showed His love to us: He sent His one and only Son into the world so that we could have life through Him. 10 This is what real love is: It is not our love for God; it is God’s love for us. He sent his Son to die in our place to take away our sins.
