Gil Karson and The Karson City Rebels, Rolls Out New Americana Rock + Blues Songs
About The Karson City Rebels: Karson City Rebels delivers a stoked retro blend of Americana-rock, blues and Bakersfield sound to the music scene. Led by Gil Karson (lead singer), Karson formed the group following a sabbatical to focus on raising his family and embarking on a successful career in film direction and production to “answer the call” to return to his inherited love–music and live performance.
Made up of multi-instrumentalist Jon Adams, guitarists Kyle Appleton and Chris Brooks, Brian Burwell (on drums), and Jon Greathouse (on keyboards and vocals), the newly organized six-member triple threat group has worked alongside Grammy-winning producer Gerhard Joost (Stevie Wonder, Missy Elliot, Sangeeta) at Studio Hill Austin and recorded at Sal Rodriguez’s Studio in LA.
The band is poised to roll out new music in a waterfall series throughout 2024 as an introduction to the band's debut EP, titled DRIVIN,' due in late fall 2024.
