Facing numerous restrictions due to the health risks, she shares with us her challenges on directing through distance and her high hopes for the future of theatre.

The Speaker:
Gillian Bruce is one of the leading choreographers in Italy. She was born in London where she completed her studies at the Laine Theater of Arts and specialized in the Royal Academy and the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing. After working in several English productions, both television and theatrical, she moved to Italy as a solo dancer in "Fantastico 4" (RAI 1). Later she started directing the choreography and teaching for La Scala Theatre in Milan, where she worked alongside George Iancu, in "The Merry Widow" under the direction of Pier Luigi Pizzi. Her choreography work includes ''Dirty Dancing'', ''Mary Poppins'' and ''Grease'' amongst others.
She is currently choreographing the first post-pandemic musical in Italy, ''Oklahoma'', and continues to teach and participate in various television productions.
