Gina started her career as a counselor after completing her undergraduate degree in theater and dance. While she was completing her masters degree in counseling, she noticed the lack of funding. Gina went to the elected officials to change the system and soon became a county commissioner to oversee and create the budget. From her desire to work with clients again she began The Foundation for Excellence in Mental Health Care.
