You won't be sorry.
I think people don't talk enough about the behind the scenes of being a minister's wife, and I enjoyed the fact that a group of women kind of put it out there by telling the truth in a loving way and giving perspective to girls and women who are not quite there yet but would like to know what to expect in some situations.
Encouraging!
Wonderful, encouraging, and helpful book! It's just what we needed in the church for the preacher's wife. I highly recommend it.

When I was first asked to read and review a book, I laughed! For about an hour! I even shared with my mother in law how funny it was that I would be asked to do such a task. Anyone that knows me, know that I am just not a reader. I like the idea of reading, but to actually sit and do it?! I a mom of four boys and yes we homeschool, a preachers wife and soon to be missionaries wife. We are a very busy family, so if I am sitting, I am most likely sleeping from exhaustion! But this book was different than any other I have ever put my hands on. It was like sitting in the easy chair with a good friend and a cup of coffee. A few of these ladies actually are good friends, so it was personal! It was like having them right there telling you all those things that you know you need to hear. Great advice for those just getting started in their journey as a preacherâs wife and a comfort and encouragement for those of us who have been at this awhile. I kept thinking, I wish this had been written about 16-17 yrs ago! The book gives very sound advice for the young mom and the new to the ministry! Along the way, sometimes we become discouraged or have situations that we donât know how to handle or even need a loving friend to tell us status quo just isnât enough, you need to be doing moreâ. This book is all those things! Sometimes you just need to know someone else has been in your shoesâ This book is that too! It was such an easy read, I finished it in no time. I didnât want it to end! It was like the visit with my dearest of friends was over. I high recommend this book to any woman in the ministry in any stage of life and in any aspect of the Lordâs ministry!
Lives up to its title!
Girl, We Need to Talk: The Ministerâs Wife & Her Struggles is a book that lives up to its title. Ministerâs wives, no matter if they are in their first month or their 18th year, will have struggles and reading a book by those who have been there and done that helps you to realize that there is hope and encouragement.
