Long Story Short with Megan and Wendy: The Podcast

Girls Gone Hallmark: Fit for a Prince

Listen Later

Megan and Wendy wish they could get back the two hours wasted on watching Hallmark Channel's stand-alone movie "Fit for a Prince." But, they can't, so listen in as they talk about all the things they wished for from this movie and why "YOLO" is so damn funny on a t-shirt. Email the show at [email protected].

Megan and Wendy review Hallmark Channel new movies every Thursday in a bonus Girls Gone Hallmark podcast episode.

Where You Can Find Reviews on IMDB

IMDB is Wendy's favorite website to read reviews on every Hallmark movie. People are really dedicated to sharing their views and they'll let you know if they hate it. Click on REVIEWS located under +Add to Watchlist. There are both user and critic reviews to read.

IMDB reviews are resourceful and entertaining!

How was Fit for a Prince Similar to Cinderella?

There were a few similarities between Fit for a Prince and the classic Cinderella story but we'd never call it a retelling of the fairytale. We'd say the story had a light sprinkling of Cinderella.

Considering the main character was named Cindy Cordella which sounds similar to the name Cinderella. The two protagonists, Brooke and Julie, were definitely characters modeled after the wicked step-sisters. One might consider Margaret Hamilton to have shades of a fairy Godmother even though she didn't really do anything magical or special to help Cindy. And finally, the other seamstresses at the design house could be seen as Cinderella's helpful little mice dutifully sewing dresses for the wicked step-mother, Cindy's boss, Rebecca Raslyn.
