Proverbs, chapter four, beginning of verse 20, "My son, give attention to my words. Incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart; for they are life to those who find them and health to all their flesh." Reading the Word of God is life for us. We don't read our Bibles for brownie points with God, nor do we read it just to check off our to do list. We read the Word of God to learn God's truth, to be transformed by it, and to be conformed to Christ through it. We read with an open heart that asks, "God, what do You have to say to me today?" Whether you read three verses or three chapters every day, let it change you. In an age where people are living according to their truth in any given moment, we will choose to live our lives today by the Word of God. It's time for you and I to pray. It's time for you and I to read the Word of God.
