Remembering Penny Marshall, Sondra Locke, David Shepherd, Galt MacDermot

Penny Marshall was the talented television actress, best known for her role as Laverne deFazio in the 19970’s sitcom Laverne & Shirley. She then went on to become one of Hollywood’s most successful female directors - Big (1988), Awakenings (1990), A League of Their Own (1992). Sondra Locke was an actress better known for her long-term relationship with Clint Eastwood, which turned acrimonious in its final years. David Shepherd was the improvisational actor/producer who cofounded the groundbreaking Compass Players at the University of Chicago, along with Paul Sills. Galt MacDermot was the Broadway composer, whose most successful work was done for Hair (1967).
