With all the articles written and posted about how on the job training is beneficial to companies and the effectiveness it can have with regards to employee retention, there are still a few (maybe more) that refuse or just don't get it and would rather offer little and none in hopes that the new hire will figure it out on their own, saving the company time and money. I had the pleasure of working for the latter and this is how it played out.
