Gospel of Mark, Chapter 6, verses 34-44
We listen to a familiar story today - the feeding of the 5,000. And while we are still in the Christmas season, we may ask ourselves "Why hear this story now? What does it have to do with Christmas?" Really, everything. Remember, Christ was laid in a manger...a feeding trough. He is Bread for the world. And He gives us a basket and says to us "Give them some food yourselves."St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, pray for us.
